Nouvelle Maria Spa and Salon, Toronto, ON

Today was Gord's birthday.  Rather than buy each other things, we take each other to the spa for our birthday.

I took Gord to Nouvelle Maria Spa and Salon (King Street W/Yonge), which is in the King Edward Hotel.

We had a pedicure and a couple's massage.  Part of the massage package included mimosas ... yum!

First up were our pedicures.

Gord got clear polish ... I had to choose the polish for my toes.

Alex took care of me and Jenny took care of Gord.

Before our polish, we had a paraffin wrap.

Me ... so relaxed!

The pedicures were $80 and $110.

After the pedicure, we each had a 110 minute massage ... it was a couple's massage so we were in the same room.  I've never had a massage that long before and it was awesome ... I felt soooooo relaxed afterwards!  Evgeniy was Gord's therapist and Mark was mine.  I heard Gord snoring few times so I think he enjoyed it :)  The room was small and Mark had to keep shifting my bed so he would get around it.  The massages were $210 each.

There was a big gap between the pedicure and massage and we had to sit in the reception area where there are tables and chairs ... couches would be more comfy.

Here's the ladies' change room.

While parts of it were nice, the lockers and showers are showing their age.  The lockers are old and painted and the shower stalls are kind of ratty. Plus I had the tap turned on high when I showered and it was a good temperature for a long time ... and then it got hot hot hot and no matter where I turned the dial, it stayed hot.  I had to wait a while for it to cool down again.

Everyone was very friendly and took good care of us.
