Gord and I attended the relaunch of the
West Bar (King Street W/Brant Street) this evening. Marc Kyriacou, Glen Baxter, Gil and Nina Huber and Steve Doussis have reopened the original King West hotspot.
We got there about 6pm. There was an oyster bar outside.
You could also get a freshly rolled cigar from
Frank Correnti.
Alex was making Westinis ... lemonade, strawberries, peppermint and Grey Goose.

Yum! |
We went downstairs and checked out the inside. It was funky.
|
There were three serving stations (bars) |
|
There was a DJ playing tunes |
|
The bathroom was bright and had candles |
There was spicy popcorn on all the tables.
There were olives and almonds in truffle oil at the bar.
The servers came around with food.
|
Salmon and caviar on cucumber -
I passed and Gord said it was good |

Kale chips ... first time I've tried it and I wasn't crazy about it |
We went back outside and there was quite a crowd.
A server came around with monogramed cookies.
I ran into a former colleague, Kenzie.

It looks like a fun addition to the King West nightlife.

Wow, look at all that fancy schmancy food.
Looks like a lovely place to hangout.
Wow! All that food looks amazing. I'd love to attend Toronto events like this. Jealous!
