The Bristol, Toronto, ON

The Bristol recently opened in our 'hood where the Samuel J. Moore used to be ... it is a revamp of the recently closed Bristol Yard.

Gord and I checked it out this morning for brunch.

They have a good reputation for brunch and we figured it would be busy so we got there about 11:15am.

Keeping an eye on everyone!
There's an ATM in the police box

I don't drink coffee but Gord does ... that was a big cup of coffee and Gord said it was good!

I ordered eggs and bacon and it was yummy.  The bread was hearty and dense and the bacon was basically meat (no fat).  My only complaint was that the homefries were overdone and burnt.

Gord ordered Eggs Bristol and said it was delicious!

The Netherlands - Mexico FIFA game started about noon so we stayed for it.

I had cider and Gord had Fullers ESB

After the game started, the place packed up with people ordering brunch and watching the game.

It was mostly a Netherlands' crowd so there was a big cheer when they won.

Maggie was our server and she took good care of us.

We liked the Bristol and will be back!

  1. I actually like my homefries burnt and crisp, so I would have liked them :)
