Roundhouse Craft Beer Festival, Toronto, ON

Gord and I went to the third annual Roundhouse Craft Beer Festival this afternoon ... it was today and yesterday.  This is the third time we've been ... we went to it in the January and last August.

Tickets (which included the tasting mug) were $20 in advance or $25 at the door.   Then you bought sample tickets for $1 ... the mug held about nine ounces, which was two tickets.  It started at noon (we got there about 12:15pm) and ended at 7pm.

It took place in Roundhouse Park, just south of the CN Tower.  We grabbed a couple spots at a picnic table in the shade for the afternoon.  Here are pix during the afternoon ... it was crowded but never too crowded.

I bought a festival teeshirt (they were $20).

 There were food trucks ...

I bought a pulled pork sandwich from Bunz.  It was big and messy and good.  It came on a half baguet, which I found a bit too crusty.  I would have rather it been on a softer bun or bread.

Gord got a chicken schnitzel from Dobro Jesti.  He said it was delicious.

Advice from Steam Whistle ... the best thing for your hangover is more beer.

There were about 20 breweries on hand.  Here's what I tried ...

Big Rig Brewery
Gold was my fav of the day
Cameron's Brewing
Lager
Mill Street Brewery
Raspberry Framboise
Raspberry Framboise
Organic
Palomar (lime/chipolte) - I didn't like it :(
Amsterdam Brewery
Framboise
Steam Whistle
Filtered pilsner
Thornbury
Cider

The Honeyrunners provided music all afternoon.  They were good!  One of them got married last night and the others were groomsmen.  The aunt of the groom sat with us for a while and we chatted.

It was a fun festival and I'm looking forward to going next year!
