Toronto Rock 12, Calgary Roughnecks 11

Gord and I are season ticket holders for the Toronto Rock lacrosse team games ... the Rock is a professional lacrosse franchise in the National Lacrosse League (NLL).

Tonight was their second home game of the 2015 season and they were playing the Calgary Roughnecks.

The teams warmed up.

Toronto
Calgary

The game was about to start ...

Iggy, the Rock mascot

Scotty Newlands sang the national anthem.

The Rock huddled to get psyched before the game.

And the game began ...

Tim and Gillian sit in front of us ... they cheered with the Rock's first goal.

At the end of the first period, the Rock were winning 4 - 2 ... yay!

The Rock Cheerleaders entertained in the second period.

There were just a couple red-wigged guys in the audience (there are usually four).

The goalies' padding were measured.

At the end of the second period, the Rock were winning 8 - 5 .. whoohoo!

The Rock huddled at the beginning of the third period to get psyched.

The Rock cheerleaders entertained again in the third period.

This guy sat in the row ahead of us and had
a good buzz on ... he was dancing along with the
cheerleaders and calling to them

Iggy worked his way through the crowd.

Kids love Iggy!

At the end of the third period, the Rock were winning 10 - 7 ... yippee!!

The attendance at tonight's game was almost 12,000.

The 50/50 was over $4,000 ... sweet!

Alas, we weren't close :(

Calgary fought back and the score was tied at one point.  Oh no!

The guy who liked the cheerleaders stripped down
to cheer on the Rock
Iggy tried to get us going too

The Rock managed to pull off the win ... what a relief!

The teams shook hands after the game.

Gillian showed her appreciation of the win.

Here are the three stars of the game.

The Rock thanked their fans.

Brandon Miller, the Rock goaltender, was the #1 star and was interviewed after the game.

A tense but great game!
