Toronto Rock 14, Minnesota Swarm 9

Gord and I are season ticket holders for the Toronto Rock lacrosse team games ... the Rock is a professional lacrosse franchise in the National Lacrosse League (NLL).

Going into tonight's game, the Rock was in first place and were playing the Minnesota Swarm ... they had beaten Minnesota last night in Minnesota.

Scotty Newlands sang the national anthems.

The Rock huddled to get psyched before the game.

And the game began ...

Tim and Gillian sit in the row ahead of of us and cheered the Rock's first goal.

At the end of the first period, the teams were tied 3 - 3.

In the second period, Iggy, the Rock's mascot, spent some time in our section.

He took Tim and Gillian's flag and shined Tim's head
Iggy made sure Tim's head was super shiny
Iggy showed off Tim and Gillian's flag
Iggy posed with Tim, Gillian and their pals
Lori and her husband, Jeff, sit next to us and Iggy was digging Lori's hair ...
she'd temporarily coloured it in the Rock colours

This guy sat in the row behind us with a horse head on.

Iggy showed him some love

These girls always sit two rows ahead of us with their signs ... nice to see Iggy show them some love.

The Rock cheerleaders entertained.

At the end of the second period, the Rock were winning 8 - 6 ... yay!

The Rock cheerleaders entertained again before the third period started.

Since it is Valentine's Day, Iggy changed into something more dashing and danced with the cheerleaders later in the third period.

Scotty made sure Iggy was looking fine

At the end of the third period, the Rock were winning 10 - 7 ... whoohoo!

The goalies' equipment was measured at the start of the fourth period.

The 50/50 draw was almost $4,500.

Alas, Gord and I didn't win it :(

The attendance tonight was most 9,000.

The Rock won 14 - 9 ... yippee!

There are the girls who sit two rows ahead of us

Tim and Gillian celebrate the Rock win.

The Rock players congratulate each other.

Despite it being a scrappy game, the players shook hands after the game.

The Rock players thanked the fans.

The top three stars of the game were all Rock players.

Here is Stephan Leblanc, the #1 star, getting interviewed after the game.

It was a fun game.  Hopefully they will be able to keep up the momentum ... they currently only have one loss.
