This evening I was invited to an end of the summer patio party with
Zomato at
Bairrada Churrasqueira (at College Street/Dovercourt Road), which serves Portuguese cuisine.
We were greeted with pitchers of sangria. Yum!
We were served a bit of everything ...
Suckling pig |
Portuguese fresh cheese |
Calamari |
Flaming sausage |
Dennis, the owner, our chef and Dennis' dad |
Tomatoes and cucumbers |
Shrimp |
Rice |
Sardines |
Jerry showed us how to fillet a sardine |
BBQed chicken and potatoes |
Steak and egg |
Jerry and Dennis gave us some white port |
Cheers! |
Heavenly Creame |
It was a nice surprise that our friend, Rick, and his daughters and son-in-law, were seated right next to us.
They have a really awesome patio!
As we were leaving, we were giving a parting gift ... a custard.
And here's our group ...
It was a fun night and great to try so many Portuguese dishes! Thanks Zomato and Bairrada!

Looks like a fun night with lots of good food.
Wow, flaming sausage, looks dangerous and sounds delish!
