Toronto Rock 7, Rochester Knighthawks 12

Gord and I are season ticket holders for the Toronto Rock lacrosse team games ... the Rock is a professional lacrosse franchise in the National Lacrosse League (NLL).  This is our fourth year going to the games and our third year having seasons tickets.

Tonight was their first home game of the new season and they hosted the Rochester Knighthawks.

Scotty Newlands was back to sing the national anthems.

The Rock huddled to get psyched.

And the game began ...

Tim and Gillian (they got engaged since we last saw them ... congrats!) are season ticket holders who sit in front of us and cheered when the Rock scored their first goal.

After the first quarter, the Rock were losing 4 - 1.

The Toronto Rock Cheerleaders entertained in the second quarter.

Iggy, the Rock mascot, came into our section.

The goalies got their equipment measured.

After the second quarter, the Rock were losing 7 - 2.

The Rock Cheerleaders entertained again in the third quarter.

At the end of the third quarter, the Rock were losing 10 - 6.

The Red Wig guys are always there.

The attendance for tonight's game was just over 9,000.

The prize for the 50/50 draw was just over $5,000.

Alas, we didn't win :(

The final score was 12 - 7 for the Knighthawks.  The game ended with some fighting.

But the teams still shook hands.

Here are the three stars of the game.

The Rock players thanked the fans for coming.
