Toronto Rock 10, Calgary Roughnecks 15

Gord and I are season ticket holders for the Toronto Rock lacrosse team games ... the Rock is a professional lacrosse franchise in the National Lacrosse League (NLL).  This is our fourth year going to the games and our third year having seasons tickets.

The Toronto Rock Cheerleaders were greeting fans arriving to the game.

The Rock were playing the Calgary Roughnecks tonight ... there was a country theme.

Here are the standings before tonight's game.

As usual, Scotty Newlands sang the national anthem.

The Rock players huddled to get psyched.

And the game began ...

The Calgary fans in the section next to us were happy when Calgary scored first.

The red-wigged guys who always sit across from us were there.

Tim and Gillian are also season ticket holders and sit in front of us.   They were excited when the Rock scored.

At the end of the first quarter, the Rock was losing 3 - 2.

Because it was Country Night, radio station KX 96 was giving away swag.

The Rock Cheerleaders along with Iggy, the Rock mascot, entertained in the second quarter.

At the end of the second quarter, the Rock were losing 7 - 4.

The halftime show featured Canadian country artist Tebey.

During the third quarter, the refs checked the equipment of the goalies.

The Toronto Rock Cheerleaders entertained again.

At the end of the third quarter, the Rock were losing 10 -7.

The prize for the 50/50 draw was $6,555.

Alas, we didn't win.

Iggy worked the crowd.

The attendance for tonight's game was just over 8,000.

The Rock lost 15 - 10.

Tim and Gillian showed their appreciation of the Rock.

The Rock and Roughneck players shook hands.
