Toronto Rock 9, Saskatchewan Rush 11, ACC, Toronto, ON

Gord and I are season ticket holders for the Toronto Rock lacrosse team games ... the Rock is a professional lacrosse franchise in the National Lacrosse League (NLL).  This is our fourth year going to the games and our third year having seasons tickets.

The Rock were playing the Saskatchewan Rush.

Going into tonight's game, Toronto was at the bottom of the standings in the east division and Saskatchewan was in second place in the west division.

Despite being at the bottom of the east division, the Rock has a scoring leader and a goaltender leader on their team.

As usual, Scotty Newlands sang the national anthem.

And the game began ...

Tim and Gillian are also season ticket holders and sit in front of us.   They were excited when the Rock scored the first goal.

At the end of the first period, the Rush were winning 3 - 2.

We had a couple Saskatchewan fans sitting two rows in front of us.

Iggy, the Rock mascot, worked the crowd.

The Rock Cheerleaders entertained in the second quarter.

This guy is a new vendor in our section this year and he's always smiling!

The goalies had their equipment measured.

At the end of the second period, the Rush were winning 7 - 4.

The Rock huddled at the beginning of the third period.

The Saskatchewan fans got livelier as the game went on.

 The Rock Cheerleaders entertained again.

These guys took their shirts off and danced
to attract the cheerleaders' attentions

At the end of the third period, the Rush were winning 9 - 8.

Three of the red-wigged guys who sit across from us were there.

The prize from the 50/50 draw was over $7,145.

Despite changing our strategy and purchasing tickets before we went into the ACC, we didn't win.

The attendance of tonight's game was almost 9,000.

Iggy worked the crowd again.

It looked the Rush had scored yet again, so the Saskatchewan fans were happy.

But it turned out to be a no-goal so Tim and Gillian were happy.

The score was timed 9 - 9 and Tim and Gillian encouraged the Rock players.

The Rush scored and since the score was tied and there was less than two minutes of play, the goal had to be reviewed ... and it was deemed to be a goal, making the score to 10 - 9.

The two Saskatchewan fans were happy.

The game got more intense as the end was near.

Both teams pulled their goalies (I've never seen both pulled at the same time) and alas, the Rush scored and won 11 - 9.

Tim and Gilliam showed their appreciation and support to the Rock players.

The players shook hands after the game.

The Rock players thanked their fans.

Despite losing the game, three of the top three stars were Rock players.

Here are the final stats.
