Canadian International Air Show, Toronto, ON

The Canadian International Air Show is part of the annual CNE (Canadian National Exhibition) ... it happens over the last three days of the CNE, which is ending today.

Gord and I usually watch it from our parking lot (as he did yesterday)... we can see parts of it through the trees and condos south of us.  Today we decided to head to the water to watch it.  We ended up at Budapest Park and found a spot in the sand on the beach.  It was a sunny and warm day.

These boaters had the right idea!

There were lots of planes at various times including a CC-130J Hercules (Herc).

Then a CT-156 Harvard II trainer entertained.

I thought it was going to spell a word ... "bl" ... but it didn't

The star of the show ... what everyone was waiting for ... the RCAF Snowbirds!

Here they come!
Lots of "oohs" and "ahs" as the planes came together then apart
Everyone clapped when they made the heart :)

It was a fun time and I'm glad we got to watch all of the show (rather than just parts that are high enough to see from our parking lot).  Next year we'll probably head back to the beach to watch the show!
