Pizza Il Focolaio, Montreal, QC

I had supper tonight at Pizza Il Focolaio (on Rue du Square-Phillips).

The patio was packed.

I sat inside right by the window.

I love love love pizza and ordered a Peperonata pizza.  On the plus side, it was cheesy and meaty.  But it was also really burnt.  I didn't send it back because I knew the pizza was big enough that I could eat around the burnt parts, which I did.

When I left, my server, Pierre, asked me how it was.  I was honest and told him that it was delicious but also burnt.  He said he felt bad about that and offered to send me off with a couple complimentary cannolis.  I was full so passed.

Pierre was friendly ... the host (the fella who seated me) wasn't friendly at all.

I'd stop in again if I wanted pizza.
