Tonight Gord and I went to the second annual
Craft Beer Awards at
The Royal.
It was held in the Ring of Excellence, where only hours earlier there had been cows being judged. This woman cleaned up the wood chips beforehand.
And the festival began!
The cost was $35 and this included entrance to
The Royal, a sampling glass and ten drink tickets for two ounce samples (additional tickets were $0.50 each). We were also given a list of the beers available and a voting sheet.
There were up to 300 people expected. Having it in the Ring of Excellent was an interesting (but fun) spot to have the festival. You definitely didn't want to drop your glass!
