Toronto Rock 13, Saskatchewan Rush 11

Gord and I are season ticket holders for the Toronto Rock lacrosse team games ... the Rock is a professional lacrosse franchise in the National Lacrosse League (NLL).  This is our fifth year going to the games and our fourth year having seasons tickets.

They were playing the Saskatchewan Rush tonight in their home opener of the 2017 season (they won their first away game).

We got there early enough to watch the Rock warm up.

Scotty Newlands sang the national anthem.

The Rock huddled to get psyched.

And the game began ...

When the Rock scored their first goal, Tim and Gillian, season's ticket holders who sit in front of us, were happy.

Here's the view from our seats ...

The couple who sit next to Tim and Gillian are also season ticket holders.  They had a baby in February and he's already in Rock gear.

At the end of the first quarter, the Rock were winning 5 - 0.

The Rock Cheerleaders entertained in the second quarter.

At the end of the second quarter, the Rock were winning 8 - 2.  At this point, it had been a fun game!

Iggy, the Rock mascot, showed us his dance moves.

The Rock Cheerleaders came out again.

Former Rock player, Josh Sanderson, who retired at the end of the last season got a shout out.  He's now the Assistant General Manager for the team.

At the end of the third quarter, it was 11 - 8 for the Rock.  Yes, the Rush had charged back.

The prize for the 50/50 draw was almost $8,400!

Alas, we didn't win :(

The red-wigged guys who sit across from us were back.

The Rock managed to win the game 13 - 11.

Tim and Gillian cheered the win!

The Rock players congratulated each other and then shook hands with the Rush players.

The Rock players then thanked the fans for coming to the game.

It was exciting game and I look forward to more wins from the Rock this year!
