Toronto Rock 16, Calgary Roughnecks 10, Air Canada Centre, Toronto, ON

Gord and I are season ticket holders for the Toronto Rock lacrosse team games ... the Rock is a professional lacrosse franchise in the National Lacrosse League (NLL).  This is our fifth year going to the games and our fourth year having seasons tickets.  My pal, Trish, came to the game.

The Rock were playing the Calgary Roughnecks.

We got there early enough to watch the teams warm up.

Going into tonight's game, Toronto had five wins and four losses and four wins and six losses.

Nick Rose, Toronto Rock's goalie, is the #1 goalie ... Rosie!

In November, Rock captain, Colin Doyle, announced his retirement.  Tonight was the celebration and before the game, the Rock retired his number.

Scotty Newlands sang the national anthem.

The Rock players huddled to get psyched.

Colin Doyle and former Toronto Maple Leaf, Wendel Clark, did the ceremonial face-off.

Then the game began ...

Here is the view from our seats.

The Rock scored the first goal and Tim and Gillian, season's ticket holders who sit in front of us, were happy.

The red-wig guys were there.

At the end of the first quarter, Toronto was winning 3 - 0.

The Toronto Rock Cheerleaders entertained in the second quarter.

At the end of the second quarter, Toronto was winning 5 - 1.

Iggy, the Rock mascot, entertained during the intermission.

The Rock Cheerleaders entertained during the third quarter.

Iggy worked our section.  The guy Iggy is hugging is a photographer who always sits a couple rows in front of us.

Iggy liked his hat

 Everyone loves Iggy!

At the end of the third quarter, Toronto was winning 12 - 6.

The prize for the 50/50 draw was just over $8,000.

Alas, we didn't win :(

The attendance tonight was 10,370.
