Toronto Rock 9, New England Black Wolves 10, Air Canada Centre, Toronto, ON

Gord and I are season ticket holders for the Toronto Rock lacrosse team games ... the Rock is a professional lacrosse franchise in the National Lacrosse League (NLL).  This is our fifth year going to the games and our fourth year having seasons tickets.  My pal, Trish, came to the game.

The Rock were playing the New England Black Wolves.  It was Star Wars night.

Going into tonight's game, Toronto was leading New England in the standings.

Nick Rose, Toronto Rock's goalie, is the #1 goalie ... Rosie!

We got there early enough to watch the teams warm up.

Scotty Newlands sang the American national anthem.  He was dressed like a storm trooper.

The Upper Canada College Band sang the Canadian national anthem.

The Rock players huddled to get psyched.

 And the game began ...

When the Rock scored their first goal, Tim and Gillian, season's ticket holders who sit in front of us, were happy.

Here is the view from our seats ...

The red wigged guys were there (as usual).

The score was tied at 3 - 3 at the end of the first quarter.

The Rock Cheerleaders entertained in the second quarter, dressed as Princess Leia.

The score at the end of the second quarter was tied at 5 - 5.

Iggy led everyone into a rousing rendition of YMCA during the intermission.

The Rock Cheerleaders entertained in the third quarter.

At the end of the third quarter, New England was winning 7 - 6.

The prize for the 50/50 draw was $7,638.

Alas, we didn't win.

 Iggy worked the crowd.

At the end of the fourth quarter, the teams were tied 9 - 9.

The game went into overtime and New England scored first to win the game.

Despite the law, Tim and Gillian showed their appreciate for the Rock players.

The teams shook hands.
