Playa del Carmen, Mexico - Wednesday

Sister Sarah and I caught a cab from our resort to downtown Playa del Carmen today.

We headed right for the beach.

We wished the beach at our resort was like this

Then we walked along Quinta Avenida (Fifth Avenue), which stretches from Calle 1 norte to Calle 40, and some side streets, where there are hundreds of shops, bars and restaurants.

We had a drink at Fat Tuesday's.

We ran into Barry, Trudy, Darlene and Steve ... they were in a bar down the street from us.

We had a late lunch at Senor Frogs.

Sister Sarah had a big rum punch.

I had a big beer.  Yum!

We both ordered Chicken Chimichangas.  They were delicious!

I got mine without guac or onions

Pavel was our server and he was great!

It was a fun day and fun to get off the resort and wander around.
