Toronto Rock 18, New England Black Wolves 10, Air Canada Centre, Toronto, ON

Gord and I are season ticket holders for the Toronto Rock lacrosse team games ... the Rock is a professional lacrosse franchise in the National Lacrosse League (NLL).  This is our fifth year going to the games and our fourth year having seasons tickets.

Tonight was the first game of the playoffs and the Rock were playing the New England Black Wolves ... whoever won this game would move on to the next round.

Scotty Newlands sang the national anthems.

The Rock players huddled before the game.

And the game began ...

Here's the view from our seats ...

Tim and Gillian, season's ticket holders who sit in front of us, were happy when Toronto got their first goal ... they scored first.

Dart Guy, a huge Toronto Maple Leafs fan, was in the stands cheering on the Rock.

The red-wig guys were there, as usual.

The score at the end of the first quarter was 6 - 5 for New England.

Iggy, the Rock mascot worked the crowd.  Everyone loves Iggy!

Iggy showed off his six-pack abs

The Rock Cheerleaders entertained in the second quarter.

The score at the end of the second quarter was 9 - 6 for the Rock.

We were given rally towels coming into the game.

The Rock Cheerleaders entertained in the third quarter.

The score at the end of the third quarter was 12 - 7 for the Rock.

The prize for the 50/50 draw was just over $6,000.

Alas, we didn't win :(

The attendance at tonight's game was almost 6,300.

The final score was 18 - 10 for the Rock.  This means they move on to the next round in the playoffs and New England is out.  The game is next Saturday night and we'll be there!
