Lost Lake Park, Whistler, BC

This afternoon I took a walk to Lost Lake Park, which was about a 15 minute walk from my hotel.

Passive House, which was built for the 2010 Winter Olympics and served as home of the Austrian team, is at the entrance of the Lost Lake Park.

Situated around tranquil Lost Lake, the park has 25 kilometres of cross-country skiing and snowshoe trails. In the summer this secluded park offers a sandy beach, pristine swimming, and nearly 100kms of hiking and biking trails in the summer.

It's a lovely 1.5km walk to get to the lake.

There's the start of the loop to go around the lake.

The beach at Lost Lake ...
I love being near the water and sat for a while on a log
Not surprising, the water was chilly
Back on the trail
Heading to Canine Cove, a dog beach
This dog was having so much fun chasing a ball!
Got it!
Back on the trail
I headed for the dock
This guy and his dog had the right idea ...
so I laid back on the dock and caught some rays too
Time to get moving again
You can follow the main trail or you can go into the
smaller trails and get nearer to the lake,
which is what I kept doing
The end of the loop around the lake
Heading back towards Passive House
Back at the beginning of the trail
A selfie with my new friend!

It was a fabulous walk!  It was smelled so nice and was so quiet.  From Passive House and around the lake is about 4km.
