The Backyard Axe Throwing League (BATL), Toronto, ON

Our Toronto work team got together for a holiday activity today.  We went axe throwing at the Backyard Axe Throwing League (BATL) in the Port Lands area ... it was something fun to do outside the office.

Haydn got us started by showing us how to throw an axe.

Haydn then explained our tournament.  We'd each play three rounds against three opponents.

The best six players made it to the playoffs ... and I did!  Alas, I got knocked out right away and ended up in fifth spot overall.  Still pretty good considering I'd never done it before.

 Steve and Tom squared off in the final match ... and Steve won!

It's a lot harder than I thought.  Sometimes I hit the board no problem and other shots were waaaaaaaaaay off.  It was a lot of fun and competitive.
