Toronto Rock 8, Calgary Roughnecks 16, Air Canada Centre, Toronto, ON

Gord and I are season ticket holders for the Toronto Rock lacrosse team games ... the Rock is a professional lacrosse franchise in the National Lacrosse League (NLL).  This is our sixth year going to the games and our fifth year having seasons tickets.

I watched the Rock players warm up.

Tonight the Rock were hosting the Calgary Roughnecks.  Toronto was tied for first place in the East Division and Calgary was in third place in the West Division.

The Rock had three league scoring leaders and Nick Rose, the Rock goalie, is in second place for the goaltending standings.

As usual, Scotty Newlands sang the national anthem.

The Rock players huddled to get psyched.

And the game began ...

Here's the view from our seats ...

Though Calgary scored first, Tim and Gillian, season's ticket holders who sit in front of us, were happy when Toronto got their first goal to tie the score.

Here are Gord and I ...

The red-wigged guys sat across the way, as usual.

At the end of the first quarter, the score was 3 - 3.

Gord's friend and work colleague, Roger, and Roger's dad, Ben, joined us.

The Rock Cheerleaders entertained.

Bellosound provided the music during the game.

At the end of the first half, the Rock were winning 6 - 5.

Iggy spent some time in our section.

At the end of the third quarter, Calgary was winning 9 - 8.

The prize for the 50/50 draw was just over $8,000.

Alas, we didn't win.

There was a big crowd tonight!

The Rock fell apart in the fourth quarter and Calgary won 16 - 8.

The Rock players supported each other and then shook hands with the Calgary players.

Despite the loss, Tim and Gillian showed their appreciation.

The Rock players thanked their fans for coming out.
