Comfort Inn, London, ON

I spent the last two nights at the Comfort Inn in London ... the hotel where I usually stay when I'm in London must have been heavily booked because nightly rate for the existing rooms was crazy ($500/night).  So I stayed at the Comfort Inn instead at about $100/night.

Here was my room ...

The bed was comfy

When I checked in, I gave the receptionist my Aeroplan card to collect points.  She said they don't do Aeroplan.  I pointed out that on their website they are currently giving 4X the points, plus the poster in the lobby has the Aeroplan logo.  I'm assuming/hoping she figured out how to put my number in for points.

It was a really small room with big heavy worn furniture ... there wasn't a lot of room to move around.  It was nice to discover a deep Jacuzzi tub in the bathroom.  Needless to say, I used it both nights (I love baths!).  That was the high point of the room and I was surprised that given the state of the room that they would go to the trouble of putting in such a nice tub.

A continental breakfast was included with a small selection of items. There are lots of restaurants within walking distance and the White Oaks Mall is right across the street.

Parking was free as it WIFI (it was quick).  I had a mini fridge, Keurig coffee machine and microwave oven in the room.  There is no elevator and I was on the first floor and so didn't have to climb any stairs with my stuff.  I parked my car outside my sliding door so it was easy to load up when I was ready to go.

There was a heavy drape across the sliding door that leads out to the parking lot.  It would have been nice to have sheers between the sliding door and the drape because once the drape is open, anyone can see in (cars park right next to the sliding door).  It would have been nice to have some natural light but also some privacy the sheers would have provided.

There was no electrical outlet next to the desk.  To plug in my laptop, I had to either pull out the cabinet with the microwave and mini fridge or run the power cord across the room to an extension cord that was next to the bed, which is what I did (good thing the room is small).
