Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

Yesterday was Dominican Republican Independence Day.

I started my day with a walk to other side of the resort ... I've been spending my time in our adults section and the middle general section so it was interesting to see the other side.

I met a cute cat who yelled at me.

I headed for the beach and ended up on the other side from where Sister Sarah and I usually sit on the adult side.

This dog had been hanging around the show Tuesday night and caught everyone's attention.  It was so still but I did see that it was breathing.

As I walked to the other side of the beach, it was good to see that it was a "green flag" day ... it's been "yellow flag" days since we arrived.

The water, though, didn't seem any different.  It was wavy and cool but refreshing once we got used to it.

Here's the earlier sign in the evening.

We had a reservation to have supper in the international restaurant.  Once we sat down and looked at the menu, there's was nothing that caught our eye.  So we left and ate in the main buffet restaurant.

The theme for this evening's show was "Time Machine".  The performers danced along to songs from the 1970s to today.  It was a fun energetic show.

At the end, the audience was invited to go up and stage and dance.

You could get your picture taken with the dancers.

Alas, Sister Sarah has gotten a cold so we called it an early night.
