Toronto Rock 12, Buffalo Bandits 11, Scotiabank Arena, Toronto, ON

Gord and I are season ticket holders for the Toronto Rock lacrosse team games ... the Rock is a professional lacrosse franchise in the National Lacrosse League (NLL).  This is our sixth year going to the games and our fifth year having seasons tickets.

Tonight the Rock were hosting the Buffalo Bandits.  The Bandits were leading in the eastern division so has secured a playoff spot.  The Rock were in third plan and had also secured a playoff spot.

Former Rock player Sandy Chapman was honoured by being put in the Rock Hall of Fame this week.

Scotty Newlands sang the national anthems.

The Rock huddled before the game.

And the game began ...

Here are the views from our seats ...

Everyone loves Iggy, the Rock mascot ... even Buffalo Bandit fans!

Whoa ... look at those abs!

We had a bunch of enthusiastic Buffalo Bandit fans sitting in front of us.  Though the Bandits had scored first, when the Rock scored their first goal, Tim and Gillian, season's ticket holders who sit in front of us, were happy.

The red-wigged guys were there tonight.

DJ Sweet Lou provided the tunes during the game.

At the end of the first quarter, the score was tied 3 - 3.

Our friend, Roger, and his sister joined us for tonight's game.

Gord, Roger and Ann

At the end of the first half, the Rock were winning 6 - 4.

And the third quarter began ...

The Rock Cheerleaders entertained a few times.

At the end of the third quarter, the score was tied 8 - 8.

The prize for the 50/50 draw was almost $8,000!

Alas, we didn't win it yet again.

At the end of the fourth quarter, the score was tied 11 - 11.

Overtime!

The Rock won 12 - 11 just over a minute into overtime.  Yay!!!

The Rock and Bandit players shook hands after the game.

The Rock players thanked the fans for coming out.

There's only one more home game before the playoffs ... and we'll be there next Friday!
