Tonight the Rock were hosting the New England Black Wolves. Toronto had already secured a playoff spot. This was the last home game of the season.
We got there early enough to watch the teams warm up.
Tonight the Rock retired Jim Veltman's #32 in a ceremony before the game ... he was the first captain of the Rock.
Scotty Newlands sang the national anthems.
The Rock players huddled before the game.
And the game began ...

Though the Black Wolves had scored first, when the Rock scored their first goal, Gord, Karen and Gillian were happy. Tim and Gillian are season ticket holders who sit in front of us. Tim is sequestered for jury duty so his sister, Karen, took his place.
As usual, the red-wigged guys were there tonight.
The Rock Cheerleaders entertained.

At the end of the first half, the Black Wolves were winning 7 - 6.
And the second half began ...
DJ Sweet Lou provided the tunes during the game.
The Rock Cheerleaders entertained again.
At the end of the third quarter, the Rock were winning 11 - 10.
The prize for the 50/50 draw was about $7,300.
Alas, we didn't win it.
The energetic attendance at tonight's game was almost 10,000!
It was a rough game and there was a bit of pushing and shoving during it.
The Rock won 13 - 12.
The players shook hands.
The Rock players thanked their fans for coming out.
It was fan appreciation night and the Rock players were going to sign autographs after the game. The line-up was quite long even before the players got there.
It was great to see a Rock win ... it was the eighth home win in a row!
