Toronto Blue Jays 11 ~ Kansas City Royals 4, Rogers Centre, Toronto, ON

Gord and I went to the Toronto Blue Jays game this afternoon ... we have been going on Canada Day for years.  This weekend they were playing the Kansas City Royals.

The first 15,000 people received a free cap and Gord and I got ours.  Yay!  Here we are ...

As it's Canada Day, it's always fun to see the celebration.

3rd Battalion Royal Canadian Regiment

Sergeant Cindy Scott sang the national anthems.

49th Parallel Rescue Team rappelled from the roof
before the Canadian anthem.
Major-General Peter Dawe, Chief Warrant Officer Allain Guimond
and Sergeant Chris Comeau represented the Canadian mililary
and were honoured and threw out the first pitch

The managers met with the umpires before the game.

Ace, the Blue Jays mascot entertained.

And the game began with Clayton Richard throwing the first pitch.

We were in section 120 ... just to the right of the batter's box.  It was sunny and warm 24C (but felt like 26C) ... it felt a lot hotter since the sun was on us for most of the game.

Here's our view of the CN Tower from our seats.

Everyone loves Ace!

During the seventh inning, there is the Blue Jays stretch.  Ace and Junior Ace encouraged everyone.

The Blue Jays won 11 - 4 ... yay!

As we were leaving, we past the Sportsnet broadcasting desk.  A kid asked Jamie Campbell to sign a ball and as he did, Jamie told the kid how he knew the ball had been used in a game.
