Toronto Wolfpack 56, York City Knights 6, Lamport Stadium, Toronto, ON

The Toronto Wolfpack RLFC is a Canadian professional rugby league club, based in here Toronto, which competes in the British Rugby Football League system.  In 2018, the club competed in the Championship, having begun to play in 2017 in League 1 and won a promotion in its inaugural season.  Gord and I have been going to the most of the games since 2017 and have been season ticket holders for the last two years.

The club is noted as being the first North American team to play in the Rugby Football League system, the first fully professional rugby league team in Canada and the world's first transatlantic rugby league team.  Their home stadium is Lamport Stadium (aka "The Den"), which is just a couple blocks from where Gord and I live.

Today the Wolfpack were playing the York City Knights.  Going into today's game, the Wolfpack was in first place (23 - 1) and Y was fighting for second place.

It was a warm sunny day ... 24C.

Here are Gord and I ...

Sher and Lil are sooooo strong!

Usually there is a guitarist who plays when the Wolfpack score ... today it was this guy.

Jefferson, the Wolfpack mascot, is pretty strong too!

Gordo, the Wolfpack's second "mascot" was around today too.

The York City Knights had a fairly vocal fan base at the game.

The Wolfpack had clinched first place and received the Betfred Championship League Leaders’ Shield in an away game ... here are the Wolfpack Dancer Squad with it.

The Wolfpack players huddled before the game.

The Wolfpack Dance Squad entertained ...

Here come the Wolfpack players ...

God Save the Queen and O Canada were sung ...

And the game began ...

The game wasn't televised so Derek, a fan, livestreamed it on a
Wolfpack fan group on Facebook

At the end of the first half, the Wolfpack were winning 32 - 0.

The Wolfpack Dance Squad entertained again ...

Members of the Great Toronto YMCA then entertained, followed by a competitive Jefferson and Gordo.
