Pre-race: Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon, Half-Marathon & 5k, Enercare Building, Toronto, ON

Tomorrow is the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon, Half-Marathon & 5k.  I'm not a runner but I will be walking (briskly) the 5km.  I've done lots of 5km walks on my own and in charity walks/runs and this is the second  year I'm doing this one.  I'm doing it in the Charity Challenge in support of the Annex Cat Rescue, who I volunteer with.

Our race packets were to be picked up today or yesterday and I got mine this morning.

I picked up my bib.

Then I picked up my race shirt and bag.

I checked in with my bib to get registered.

Then I headed into the expo where there were lots of vendors, services, etc.  John Stanton, president and founder of the Running Room, was there.

There was a fun photo op where you could post in front of a sign with your race ...

Of course, I did!

I ran into my friend into my friend, Trish ... nice surprise!  She was helping out the store where she runs.  She usually does the marathon (also for the Annex Cat Rescue) but her foot is bothering her so she is going to run or walk the 5km tomorrow, depending on how her foot feels.

I had a nice chat with Jennifer Tanner  ... she is a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine at Integrative Health Institute.  I start my day every day with a smoothie that includes protein powder, Greens+ and powdered matcha.  I bought some protein powder from her which she said will help me my knee pain (fingers crossed!).  I think I'll check her out for her naturopathic services.

There is a big dedication wall you can sign ... so I did.

Here's the map of the routes ...

They had a couple signs that have everyone's name who had registered ... it was cool to find me.

And then I left.

When I got home, I checked out the bag.

Should be a fun time!
