I had lunch today with a client at the Montreal Deli at Dundas Street E, west of the 427 ... it's a favourite of hers and she's been there many times.
Though the smoked meat sandwiches looked really good, I ordered chicken souvlaki ($13.95). I'm not a fan of salads (and my meal came with one) so our server put mine on a plate and gave it to my client. In addition, I swapped the fries for roasted potatoes. The potatoes were really good. The rice and chicken were okay. The chicken seemed to have been cooked ahead of time and put on the grill and charred to heat up.
My client ordered fish (haddock) and chips ($10.95) and it looked good. She ate all the fish and most of the fries. By then, she was getting full and we were running out of time and we head back.
