Tonight we had our work holiday dinner at
Kōjin (University Avenue, south of Queen Street W), which is part of the
Momofuko Group.
Here's the lobby bar of the Shangri-La Hotel ... the restaurant entrance is off the lobby.
Kōjin is on the third floor.
Because we were a large group (there were 16 of us including spouses), we had a set menu and food was served family-style.
FIRST
Seafood Platter with east coast oysters, snow crab and shrimp ...
I'm not a seafood fan but this was a hit |
Gord tried some oysters |
Corn Flatbread ... this was really good |
Fired-roasted eggplant & confit garlic |
Butter and spiced honey |
Radicchio Salad |
Chef's Sausage Board - jerk pork, chicken and cheddar and beef ...
these were really good |
Lots of oysters left over from the platters |
SECOND
Slow Roasted Prime Rib |
The prime rib was really rare so we sent the sliced back to be grilled
... it was so good! |
Whole Grilled Trout with hot sauce, coconut congee and lemon sauce |
Gouda Mashed Potatoes |
Crispy Brussels Sprouts ... I didn't have any but they smelled really garlicy |
THIRD
Blueberry Cobbler with whipped cream and rum ... yum! |
Peanut Butter Cake with apple compote and hokey pokey ice cream ...yum! |
There's Brett, Tom, Carly, Maria and Gabi leaving and waving good-bye!
The food was really good and the service was excellent! I'm so glad I got to try this restaurant.
