The Good Son, Toronto, ON

Gord and I had supper this evening at The Good Son (Queen Street W/Dovercourt Road).

I had a Carnivora pizza (prosciutto cotto, spicy soppressata, house made sausage and San Marzano tomatoes) and Gord had Mushroom Pappardelle pasta (white truffle oil, fine herbs and Grana Padano). Both were good ... Gord loved his.  My pizza was burnt/all black on the bottom, though. I didn't send it back because I could barely taste the burntness (the spiciness of the meats overpowered it, I guess). Plus it was a busy spot and I knew I'd be waiting a while for one to be made again (and I was hungry).

It was half price wine night so we shared a bottle of Fontanassa Gavi, which was delightful.

Jessah was friendly and helpful and took good care of us.
