“Monty Python and the Holy Grail”, Revue Cinema, Toronto, ON

Gord and I saw Monty Python and the Holy Grail this evening at the Revue Cinema on Roncesvalles Avenue.

It was fun to see a couple guys in the audience dress up for it.

I’ve seen it a few times but it’s the first time on the “big screen”. What a hoot!

It’s a good thing we’d bought tix a couple weeks ago because it was sold out.

The Local, Toronto, ON

Gord and I had supper this evening The Local on Roncesvalles Avenue, just south of Dundas Street W.

Coconut Candle Company - Summer 2023

I received my summer Coconut Candle Company subscription box (full size) today. It's always a fun box!

Our subscription box is the best way to experience our hand poured coconut wax candles. Each themed box has a surprise selection of unique candles that we've never released before.

We have two different boxes available, the full size subscription box with over $100 worth of candles and the mini subscription box with over $80 worth of candles. The full size box also contains a gift from another local business.

Shipping is included in the price of the boxes.

Here's what I received ...

Island Foods, Toronto, ON (Gladstone Avenue)

I had lunch today at Island Foods at Gladstone Avenue/Queen Street W ... they opened a couple weeks ago and I'm so happy they are back in my 'hood.

I ordered what I always order at Island Foods ... a boneless chicken roti. Yum!!

Eggsmart, Paris, ON

Gord and I had a late breakfast today at Eggsmart in Paris, ON.

We both ordered bacon and eggs. What a big and hearty meal! And it was so good.

Kendy was friendly and took good care of us. Thanks, Kendy!

Link Street Sausage House, Paris, ON

Link Street Sausage House is in the Wincey Mills Co. market building in Paris, ON, and Gord and I stopped in this morning.

Thanks, Tony!

They had so many fun and interesting meats to choose from.

I bought 5 pork schnitzels and 3 sausages (butter chicken, mango curry and apple bacon). They sound/look delish.

Arlington Hotel, Paris, ON

Gord and I spent Wednesday to today in Paris, ON, and we stayed at the Arlington Hotel downtown.

When we checked in, I mentioned to Samantha that it was my birthday/our anniversary and she sent a bottle of bubby to our room. How nice is that?!

There are 24 themed rooms and we were Stan Lee room ... all things Stan Lee! The room was a good size as was the bathroom.  There was a coffee maker but alas, no mini fridge (I always travel with water). It would have been nice to have "normal" TV channels ... instead they were themed like the That Girl channel, Beverly Hillbillies channel, Biggest Loser channel, etc. Parking, WIFI and a continental breakfast were complementary.

The Paris Beer Co., Paris, ON

John Ladds Band was at  the Paris Beer Co. this evening from 7pm to 9pm.

My blueberry raspberry Salty Stinger.

The band played cover tunes ranging from pop to rock.

It was a fun time! It was nice to chat with the band members afterwards.

Stillwaters Plate & Pour, Paris, ON

Gord and I celebrated my birthday this evening on the rooftop patio of Stillwaters Plate & Pour in Paris, ON. Fabulous view!

We started with a rosé sangria and shared a bottle of bubbly.

Jiggs -n- Reels Seafood Market, Paris, ON

Gord and I came across Jiggs-n-Reels in Paris, ON.

They carry lots of products from Newfoundland like fresh and frozen seafood, clothing, knitting books, candles, food and more.
