Toronto Blue Jays 6 ~ Boston Red Sox 7, Rogers Centre, Toronto, ON

Gord and I went to this afternoon's Toronto Blues Jays game ... it's our Canada Day tradition. They were playing the Boston Red Sox in front of a sold out crowd.

Here we are!

It was a hot humid day and when grey clouds moved in, we got a short sprinkle of rain.  Happily it passed.

Before the game, there was a citizenship ceremony and 9 people became new Canadians. 

Navy personnel rolled out a giant Canadian flag during the singing of our national anthem. Always an awesome sight! Soldiers rappelled from the roof of the dome to the ground to give the new Canadians a ball each so they could throw the first ceremonial pitch.

Alas, the Jays lost  7 - 6.
