Down the Hatch, Edinburgh, Scotland

Gord and I had supper at Down the Hatch

An authentic Canadian diner focusing on diner style food with a fresh locally sourced twist, big flavours, huge portions and all things Canadian!

We went because I thought it would be interesting to check out a Canadian pub in Edinburgh and see what is considered "Canadian" food. Apparently the owner and the chef are Canadian. 


I ordered The Hatch burger (smashed beef patty with smoked streaky bacon, house burger sauce, pickles, house made tomato relish on a toasted brioche bun, Gord ordered a single Classic Bacon Cheeseburger (smashed patties layered with American cheese and crispy streaky bacon, mayo, mustard, sliced white onions & pickles served on a toasted brioche bun.) and we split an order of house fries. They were good.
