George Square, Glasgow, Scotland

Gord and I took a ScotRail train to Glasgow for the day. What an efficient way to travel!

We did a hop on hop off tour bus, which we started and finished near George Square.

Once we got back, we wandered around George Square. George Square is the principal civic square. It was named after King George III and initially laid out in 1781 but not developed for another twenty years. There are lots of monuments.

After we had lunch at The Piper Whisky Bar, we headed back to Edinburgh on a ScotRail train.
