Gord and I had supper this evening at the
Haymarket in Edinburgh. Friends had recommend we check them out for their pies.
There are two sides. The right side is for eating and drinking ... it's a small space but we managed to find a table for two.
The left side is just for drinking and you order at the bar.
I ordered a Steak & Nicholson’s Pale Ale Pie (beef cooked in Nicholson's Pale Ale, encased in short crust pastry) and Gord a ordered a British Chicken & Portobello Mushroom Pie (British chicken breast in a portobello & porcini mushroom sauce, with truffle oil, in short crust pastry). Both were good and filling.
Happy holidays! Have a great time. Those pies sure do look good.
