Gord and I walked up and down the Royal Mile this afternoon ... a fun street to explore with lots of places to explore and places to shop (especially cashmere, kilts, sweatshirts, teeshirts, etc.).
It's a succession of streets forming the main thoroughfare of the Old Town of the city of Edinburgh. It runs between Edinburgh Castle and Holyrood Palace. The name comes from it being the traditional processional route of monarchs, with a total length of approximately one Scottish mile. Judging by the amount of people on the street, it's must be one of the busiest tourist street in the Old Town.
